Former White House adviser Steven Bannon was swatted in the middle of his latest online show this week — blaming cowardly “criminals” who want him shot dead by panicked cops.

The 69-year-old political strategist had just finished an interview with controversial attorney Alan Dershowitz on Thursday’s “War Room” when he broke to apologize for not following his planned schedule.

“There’s so much going on — including the fact we got swatted in the middle of the show,” he said.

The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to The Post that officers rushed to Bannon’s home in Washington, DC, just after 10:30 a.m. “for the report of a shooting” that “appears to be a false call.”

Bannon smiled as he recalled telling his staff, “Hey, can you knock it off? I gotta concentrate here'” — just to realize “we’re actually getting swatted.”

The former sidekick for then-President Donald Trump said it was an ongoing issue — with armed cops having stormed his home in July over a similar hoax — and one with nefarious ambitions.

“The criminals — and it is criminals — that continue to swat us have to understand that the police are savvy to you, and investigating it,” he said.

“What they’re trying to do on the swats is they’re trying to have suicide by police.

“They’re trying to make sure that something happens here, that one of the police officers gets concerned about what’s going on and actually starts firing.”

Still, he assured his listeners that “the DC Metro and the people around this area understand about these … criminals.”

“They fear this audience,” he said of those trying to shut down his show, which focused much of Thursday’s episode celebrating Trump’s CNN town hall as proof that support is again growing for his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.

“They understand that this is ascendant. And what they’re gonna try to do is take any voice — whether it’s Donald Trump or Tucker Carlson or Steve Bannon of the ‘War Room’ — they’re gonna try to eliminate all those voices,” Bannon stated.

“They understand that an informed electorate is a electorate that will demand consent to the governed.

“And the governed right now are not consenting to this, whether it’s on the southern border of this country, or the investigations” into Trump, Bannon said.

It was not immediately clear just how many officers rushed to Bannon’s home for the false call. Officers “searched the area and nothing was found,” a police spokesperson told The Post.
