Stephen A. Smith has a couple of takeaways from Zion Williamson’s peculiar situation.
Williamson and his apparent girlfriend, Ahkeema, threw a gender reveal party this week as the couple is expecting a baby girl in November.
This news set off adult film star Moriah Mills, who claimed in a lengthy string of lurid tweets that she and Williamson had sexual relations as recently as last week, and shared alleged screenshots from Snapchat implying that Williamson had offered to underwrite a move for her to New Orleans.
On his FanDuel show, Smith addressed the matter at hand.
“She’s a porn star!” Smith exclaimed, taking a moment to pause and set the scene.
“I’m kind of pissed off, because all I can think about is, ‘Man, you only played in 29 games last year! And you missed the season before that!’ And I’ve been wondering what is taking you so long to get healthy. Well now I know!”
Smith said it was a “damn shame” that Mills put Williamson’s “personal business” out there, and gave advice to young people that “you can’t always police what your partner is going to do” and to cancel significant others immediately if they’re willing to publicly “betray your trust like that.”
He also said that “chances are, if you mess with a porn star, it’s gonna be public,” harkening back to the time NFL quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was seen canoodling with Kiara Mia.
Smith continued to say that he doesn’t care about Williamson’s personal life, as a young, unmarried man, but that the “bigger issue” is that the Pelicans and basketball-viewing public want him on the basketball court more frequently.
“I mean, damn bro, no wonder you ain’t healthy!” Smith concluded.
