Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs couldn’t help but smile when he was asked about his girlfriend Cardi B’s pregnancy announcement on Wednesday.
The veteran receiver, who spoke with reporters at his locker ahead of Sunday’s game against the Steelers, quipped that he “heard” about the “baby rumors” surrounding Cardi.
“I told you about that, we don’t talk too much about my personal life,” Diggs said with a smile, as seen in a video by CBS News Boston. “But I heard about it.”
When he was asked if there will be “any celebrations we’ll see” publicly, Diggs replied, “We’ll see.”
Diggs played coy while the Grammy-winning rapper spilled the tea that they’re expecting their first child together during a Wednesday appearance on “CBS Mornings” to promote her new album, “Am I the Drama?” which premieres Friday.
“I am having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi, 32, told host CBS’ Gayle King, who opened the interview asking about recent rumors that the rapper is pregnant.
“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other. We like in the same space in our careers. You know what it is that I feel like we’re really great, we’re really the best at what we do.”
Cardi said she is due to give birth before her “Little Miss Drama Tour” beings on Feb. 11 2026.
King added that the couple knows the gender of their baby, but they are “not sharing.”
Shortly after, Cardi posted a snapshot of the couple on X with a red heart emoji.
In a video on her Instagram Thursday, Cardi gushed that she and Diggs are excited.
“I’m happy. My man is happy,” Cardi said. “I’m very excited. I’m very excited for this chapter in life.
“I would tell y’all, ‘mind your business, it’s my business,’ but it is what it is. I’m a celebrity and we’re all a little bit nosy.”
Cardi also explained that she plans to begin rehearsals for her tour as soon as she gives birth.
“After this album run, it’s straight to exercising, straight to dance classes,” she said. “When the baby comes out my body will be loose and straight rehearsal with all my dancers … I owe this to myself and I owe this to my fans who’ve been waiting for such a long time.”
Cardi shares three children with her ex-husband, rapper Offset: daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 12 months, and a 4-year-old son named Wave.
Diggs has a daughter from a previous relationship.
The couple made their relationship Instagram official in June.
