There are eight games between now and Feb. 4, when No. 8 Marquette visits the Garden.
Eight very winnable games, five at home. St. John’s will be a major favorite in six of them. Likely a smaller favorite in the other two, as well, at Xavier and Georgetown.
Now is the time to take off. To go on a run. To rip off a long winning streak and figure out some offensive issues.
The schedule is soft. Opponents with bigger issues than the Johnnies. Teams that Rick Pitino’s group should be able to expose.
