NextImg:Spread moves in Seattle’s favor for Seahawks vs. Giants after loss to 49ers

The Giants proved themselves to be every bit the underdog they were pegged as in their Thursday Night Football defeat at the hands of the 49ers.

Following the Giants’ lackluster performance that resulted in a 30-12 loss, there have been slight adjustments in the odds for the G-Men’s upcoming showdown with the Seahawks in Week 4.

In another primetime showing — this time on Monday Night Football — Seahawks vs. Giants had initially been a pick’em across the betting market.

However, the latest odds have Seattle as a 1-point favorite on the road at MetLife Stadium.

This shift marks a departure from the preseason line, where the odds had the Seahawks at +1 for this matchup.

The Giants haven’t had much to celebrate thus far this season.

They were scoreless through their first six quarters of play and both of their losses have been nationally-televised in primetime.

Even their defense, which should be one of the more promising units in the league, has struggled.

While the offense has had moments of greatness, primarily while mounting a comeback win over Arizona after going down 20 points in the first half, they find themselves among the league’s underperformers.

Losing Saquon Barkley certainly hasn’t helped and his availability could cause further changes to the spread.

Luckily for New York, this Monday Night Football clash with the Seahawks could be the time for the Giants to turn things around.

Seattle’s defense remains vulnerable — if New York’s defense can rise to the occasion, Daniel Jones might finally be able to improve upon his 1-11 primetime record.
