This sports bettor is living the dream.
Zach Taylor – not to be confused with the Cincinnati Bengals head coach – correctly predicted all four March Madness Final Four teams in a four-leg parlay.
That’s right; the Ohio native had Florida Atlantic, Connecticut, San Diego State and Miami to be the last four teams standing in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
The bet was placed the Monday following the opening weekend, prior to the Sweet 16.
The odds were over 950/1.
Like any long-shot bet, Taylor need some breaks and luck to swing his way for the huge payday.
In their Elite Eight thriller against Creighton, San Diego State needed a foul call at the end of regulation to take the lead in a tie game.
The Aztecs went on to upend the Bluejays, 57-56.
The $24.21 parlay finally paid out $23,240.45, culminating with the Miami Hurricanes’ dramatic comeback victory over Texas on Sunday night.
His friends weren’t so lucky, however.
Taylor told The Post he had offered his insights on this bet to his group chat early that Monday afternoon.
They kindly rejected it.
As for Taylor, the feeling hasn’t quite settled for him yet.
“I’m still on such an adrenaline rush,” he told The Post.
