A passenger had the mother of all meltdowns at an Italian airport after her carry-on luggage was deemed too heavy to bring aboard, as seen in a viral clip.
The incident occurred June 8 while the Chinese tourist was at the boarding gate at the Milan Malpensa Airport in Italy, Viral Press reported.
After inspecting her bag, desk employees determined that the suitcase was over the weight limit and informed the traveler she’d need to pay extra or discard some contents.
This didn’t sit well with the traveler, who proceeded to roll on the floor wailing and hitting the floor with her hands and feet like a child as bystanders looked on in shock.
Authorities attempted to calm the incensed woman, but she remained inconsolable.
Left with no other recourse, they removed the flyer from the flight, and she was rebooked on a later route after calming down.
Onlookers had little sympathy for her preflight freakout.
‘This Chinese mother had the mother of tantrums at Milan Airport,” wrote one cry-witness. “Her cultural skills were not successful in negotiating with the airport staff.”
The hellion was also ridiculed online with one X critic accusing her of “making a scene hoping the airport staff will give in under pressure.”
“How is that going to help?” wondered another, while a third commenter scoffed, “Wow. Thats so pathetic.”
Others labeled her a “toddler” and a “spoiled brat.”
This isn’t the first time a passenger has become unruly at the airport gate.
In another terminal tantrum earlier this Spring, a Spirit Airlines passenger turned heads after she stripped down and flashed her bosoms during an argument at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
