Southern Charm star Craig Conover had a front-row seat to the drama surrounding Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke‘s failed engagement.
Bravo fans were left shocked earlier this month when it was reported that the Summer House stars broke up just a few months before they were set to wed in Mexico. However, Conover — who is dating their Summer House co-star Paige DeSorbo — told E! News that viewers will have a better understanding of the split when the new season airs.
“You’ll get to see they filmed all summer — they filmed for two or three months,” Conover said. “It’s unfortunate that the ending result is leaked or talked about because there’s no context and I think, for better or for worse, there’s going to be a ton of context when you get to see Summer House.”
According to the Sewing Down South owner, there were “several conversations had” leading up to the end of Hubbard and Radke’s relationship, which will be “a big part of this season.” Despite the hints, he was still shocked about their breakup.
“I was still surprised,” he said. “But I think — I’m not saying this against anyone — I think it’ll make a little more sense when you get to see it all play out.”

Shortly after Conover’s comments were made public, Hubbard broke her silence on the situation. In an emotional post made to her Instagram page earlier today, the Bravolebrity revealed that she was “humiliated” by Radke’s sudden decision to end their relationship.
“The last 2 weeks have been the most heartbreaking and emotional weeks of my life,” she wrote. “My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all — with no answers or closure on why.”
Hubbard continued, “I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me. This was not my decision, and I do not agree with quitting a relationship (at this level) without trying everything possible first. I am still grieving and trying to process all that has happened, but I felt it was important to update you all.”
Summer House is currently streaming on Peacock.
