NextImg:Sophie Turner admits she considered terminating pregnancy with daughter Willa at 24

Sophie Turner revealed in a new interview that she contemplated terminating her pregnancy with her daughter Willa when she first found out she was expecting.

“Maybe because I was so young, I sat on it for a week,” the “Game of Thrones” alum, now 28, told British Vogue for her June 2024 cover story, published Wednesday.

“Thankfully there were therapists there to help me talk things through.”

Turner — who was 24 when she found out was pregnant while on a retreat in Bali — said she immediately told her now-estranged husband, Joe Jonas, how she was feeling when she got back from the trip.

“I remember throwing the pregnancy test at him, saying, ‘What do you think we should do? Do you think we should have it?’” she recalled. “When you’re in your early 20s, life is so frivolous.”

Turner admitted she “didn’t know” if she “wanted to be a mother,” but after discussing it with Jonas, now 34, “something changed” in her.

“I just knew I had to have her,” the “Dark Phoenix” star said.

Page Six has reached out to Jonas’ rep for comment on his estranged wife’s revelation but did not immediately hear back.

Turner gave birth to Willa July 2020, and reps for her and Jonas told Page Six at the time that the couple was “delighted to announce the birth of their baby.”

The “X-Men: Apocalypse” actress and the Jonas Brothers member decided to welcome a second child, Delphine, two years later.

“Because my ex and I travel so much, I wanted Willa to have a sibling,” she explained to British Vogue.

“I wanted them to have each other. They’re so much fun, total girlie girls and absolute rays of sunshine in my life.”

In September 2023, Jonas filed for divorce from Turner after four years of marriage, forcing the exes to embark on a custody battle.

The mother of two fought to bring her children with her back to England, but the “S.O.S.” singer argued that the kids should remain with him in New York City.

After going through mediation, Turner and Jonas were able to reach a temporary custody agreement.

“After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the US and the UK,” the pair said in a statement to Page Six in October 2023.

“We look forward to being great co-parents.”

As for the divorce, the “Do Revenge” star and the “Cake by the Ocean” singer have been unable to finalize it thus far.

Turner asked a judge last month to reactivate the filing so that they can negotiate a settlement.

The “Survive” star spoke to British Vogue about how difficult the split was for her and how her children ultimately were the ones who helped her pull through.

“There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I would call my lawyer saying, ‘I can’t do this. I just can’t,'” she said.

“I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself. And then, finally, after two weeks of me being in a rut, she reminded me that it was my children I was fighting for.”

Turner concluded, “Once anyone says to me, ‘Do it for your kids,’ I’m doing it. I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them.”
