“Saturday Night Live” is more than twice as old as Bill Belichick’s newly famous girlfriend and not afraid to point it out.
In its first episode back after the 50th anniversary special, SNL’s “Weekend Update” co-anchor Michael Che delivered a zinger aimed at Belichick and his 23-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.
“Last week, a U.S. appeals court blocked a Biden-era student debt relief plan,” Che said, “which means the only way for young people to pay off their student loans is by dating Bill Belichick.”
Che’s punchline left the crowd laughing and caused him to delay starting his next joke as he broke a dry smile and chuckled twice.
The relationship between Belichick, 72, and Hudson has been easy fodder for comedians for months.

Belichick was hired in December as the head coach at North Carolina, which made for open season on jokes about how Belichick is able to connect with college students.
Hudson attended Bridgewater State University and was a cheerleader.
She met Belichick while still in college and traveling on the same flight as the future Hall of Fame coach.
