Women’s basketball star and celebrity Angel Reese receives her fair share of criticism.

A portion of it revolves around her limitations on the court and some is justified. But the animosity and trolling has impacted opinions beyond logic and rational thought.

The Chicago Sky forward currently leads the WNBA in rebounding with 12.3 boards per game, nearly three full rebounds ahead of second place.

This comes after she led the league in her rookie season with 13.1 rebounds per game.

The naysayers will dismiss it, given her propensity to rebound her own misses, but statistics have proved she would still lead the league without her own “me-bounds.” Plus, if rebounding is so simple, then why doesn’t anyone else do that?

The answer is: She has skills that others lack, and one of those is her unparalleled motor and effort.

The Sky visit the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday as 6.5-point underdogs in the second game of a four-game road trip.

Reese’s proposition bet is 12.5 rebounds at FanDuel.

Starting center Kamilla Cardoso is away from the team to play with Team Brazil in the Americup Tournament.

That shifted Reese to center in Chicago’s game Friday, but the lineup change did not affect her numbers. She still grabbed 18 rebounds, and I expect her to have a similar performance in L.A.

I have a 51-44-1 ATS record in this Post sports section, and my next play is Reese Over 12.5 rebounds.
