American Idol star and Grammy Award-winning singer Tori Kelly was rushed to the hospital on Sunday (July 23) evening after she fainted while having dinner with friends.
The singer reportedly had been complaining of having an abnormally fast heart beat before she collapsed. TMZ reports the gospel singer’s friends brought her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she is currently in the ICU in “really serious” condition, according to one source.
She has been in and out of consciousness throughout her time in the hospital, where doctors have discovered blood clots in her legs and her lungs. They are still trying to determine if there are any clots near her heart.
Those close to Kelly have not released an official statement or update regarding her health, but her husband, basketball player André Murillo, shared her verse from Justin Bieber’s “Where Do I Fit In” to his Instagram story on Tuesday (July 25).
“When I’m all alone and fear is all I see / Sitting in the silence with these insecurities / It’s then you remind me, you’re holding me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side,” the lyrics read.

The couple recently celebrated their five year wedding anniversary this past June.
The singer got her start on American Idol Season 9 in 2010 when she was just 16 years old. Though she was eventually eliminated from the show, a single from her debut album Unbreakable Smile cracked the Billboard charts a few years later after Scooter Braun became her manager.
She won two Grammy Awards in 2019 for her album Hiding Place and her single “Never Alone.” She was most recently nominated for another Grammy Award in 2022 for her holiday album, A Tori Kelly Christmas.
Though the singer has forged a successful singing career, she also gave a memorable performance in the 2016 star-studded musical Sing.
Her fourth EP, titled tori, is slated to release this Friday (July 28). Kelly just announced it in a social media post last week.
“This is the first taste of much more to come…” she said at the time.
