NFL defensive back Jonathan Owens, Simone Biles’ husband, has a new team.
Owens agreed to a two-year contract with the Bears on Tuesday, his agent told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The Bears will be Owens’ third team over his five-year NFL career after spending last season with the Packers and the previous four with the Texans.
Biles, a gymnastics legend and four-time Olympic gold medal winner, reacted to the news in a post on X shortly after the news broke.
“CHICAGO HERE HE COMES,” she wrote on the social media platform.
“I’m so excited about not having a connecting flight to go & see my husband hahahahaaha,” Biles added.
Owens, 28 had 84 tackles, three pass breakups, a forced fumble and a touchdown in 17 games with the Packers in 2023.
He made 11 starts for them and took 775 defensive snaps.
Owens appeared in 31 games over his four seasons with the Texans.

“Appreciate it @packers for the opportunity,” Owens wrote on X, adding the praying hands emoji. “And Packer nation for welcoming me and my wife with open arms, will never forget my time in GB.”
He heads to Chicago to join the likes of Kevin Byard, who recently signed with the Bears, and Jaquan Brisker.
Owens has gained notoriety this season not just for his play on the field, but for his relationship off of it.
Owens married Biles last April in a ceremony in Houston and traveled to Mexico a month later for a destination wedding.
Owens caught the ire of social media users after he said during an appearance with Biles on the “Pivot” podcast when he said that he was the “catch” in the relationship and that Owens “didn’t know who she was at the time” when they met.
The comments, while not bothersome to Biles, led to criticism from people and even led to a segment dedicated to them on “The View.”
Last month, Biles shared snaps of the home the couple is building in Texas on her Instagram page and she more recently shared vacation pics of the two in the tropics for a friend’s wedding.
