The gymnastics world just got put on alert.

Simone Biles is making her return to competition at the U.S. Classic outside Chicago on August 5, which marks her first event since the Tokyo Olympics two summers ago.

The 26-year-old superstar — who is a seven-time Olympic medalist — is part of the women’s field for the single-day event at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, USA Gymnastics announced Wednesday.

Biles spent the last two years on hiatus after she backed out of multiple events in Tokyo after experiencing “the twisties,” an emotional block when a gymnast loses control of their body while twisting in the air that could potentially result in serious injury.

Biles dealt with “the twisties” in Tokyo amid mental health struggles and withdrew from the individual all-around competition.

Biles returned for the balance beam final and won a bronze medal, tying Shannon Miller’s record for most Olympic medals by an American female gymnast.

The August competition for Biles takes place about a year before the Olympic Games in Paris get underway.

It’s been a busy two years off for Biles as she had her post-Olympic tour in the fall of 2021.

She also married Packers safety Jonathan Owens this past spring.
