Simone Biles appears to be sending a message to critics.
Taking to social media on Saturday, the famed Olympic gymnast seemingly addressed the fallout of husband Jonathan Owens’ comments about their relationship on “The Pivot” podcast, which recently sparked online outcry.
“Are y’all done yet?” the 26-year-old Biles posted on X alongside a meme.
Owens, a safety for the Green Bay Packers, opened up about his romance with Biles on “The Pivot” podcast last week, stating he wasn’t aware of her success early on.
“I didn’t know who she was at the time, but the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of [Instagram] followers so in my mind, I’m like, ‘OK, she got to be good,’” said Owens, who matched with Biles on a dating app.
Elsewhere on the podcast, Owens, 28, was asked if he was the “catch” by co-host Ryan Clark.
“I always say the men are the catch,” Owens said.
The sound bites went viral, with some social media users calling out the NFL pro as a result.
“The interview with Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens is SO embarrassing. I can’t believe she let him talk about their relationship like that,” one user tweeted, according to Page Six.
Another penned, “if everyone calling you@Simone_Biles’ husband… you are not the catch.”
Owens, who is in his first season in Green Bay following four seasons with the Houston Texans, said Thursday he was “unbothered” by the chatter.
“Unbothered,” Owens wrote alongside an Instagram photo from the couple’s spring nuptials. “Just know we locked in over here.”
Biles, a seven-time Olympic medalist, replied, “???????????? for life.”
Owens and Biles announced their engagement in February 2022 after connecting in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They tied the knot in an intimate courthouse ceremony in Houston in April before traveling to Mexico a month later for their destination wedding.
