Six people narrowly survived when a tourist helicopter crashed and was left hanging precariously between a building and a telephone pole, shocking footage showed.
The dramatic incident took place Tuesday when the helicopter’s engine slowed, then came to a total halt, sending the aircraft spiraling out of the sky over Medellín, Colombia, the video obtained by Nine News showed.
The helicopter eventually became wedged between the telephone wires and a building, which allowed the six people on board to shimmy out of the wrecked craft and onto the roof.
“Dad, I just got in a helicopter crash. I’m stuck in a building and I’m really high up,” one passenger can be heard saying in footage from inside the helicopter.
“I’m going to live through this, Dad, I just want to say I love you. I’m stuck in a telephone pole,” they added.
Everyone on board survived, Medellín Mayor Fico Gutiérrez wrote on X.
The experience occurred during a tourist excursion, Nine New reported.
The cause of the crash is now under investigation, Nine News said.
No one was injured in the incident.
