Ex-NFL player Sergio Brown was seen in a new video partying and dancing with twerking women at a club in Tulum, Mexico– as police in Illinois continued to investigate his mother’s murder.
A barefoot Brown, 35, wearing nothing but a pair of red Nike swimming trunks and a radiant smile, seemed to be in high spirits as he frolicked with other partygoers at the tropical hotspot Sunday.
In the video obtained by TMZ Sports, a sprightly blonde woman in a blue swimsuit is seen playfully draping her arms around Brown’s shoulders and dancing with the former Indianapolis Colts defensive back, who is laughing and gyrating his hips to the beat.
Later in the 2-minute recording, a seemingly carefree Brown joins an eclectic group of patrons rhythmically swaying back and forth as hip-hop music blares in the background.
The ex-football player remained at the club for several hours, which he spent chatting with people and buying them drinks, before taking off, a witness told the gossip outlet.
Brown’s fun-filled weekend outing in Mexico’s popular resort city came two weeks after his 73-year-old mother, Myrtle Brown, was found dead near a creek behind her home in Maywood, Illinois.
Before the grim discovery, both Myrtle Brown and her professional athlete son had been reported missing.
The septuagenarian’s death has been ruled a homicide, with the medical examiner finding that she died from multiple injuries connected to an assault.
Sergio Brown was not considered a suspect in his mother’s death, police said.
The footballer released several unhinged videos on social media in the days following his mother’s death, including one in which he went on a rant referencing the beloved 2003 children’s film “Finding Nemo” — and quoting the character of Dory the fish.
“What the f–k? Missing? They ain’t never seen ‘Finding Nemo’? What the f–k is going on? This is traumatic. Lucky I don’t have to say a joke. You … what the f–k? Just keep swimming,” he said.
Earlier, Brown posted another video that showed him walking shirtless and grimacing while singing the hook of Drake’s hit “Legend,” which contains the words: “Oh my God, oh my God, if I die I’m a legend.”
The athlete previously called his mom’s killing “fake news” and appeared to point a finger of blame at the FBI in a foul-mouth rant, in which he said he thought his mother was on vacation in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.
“It had to be the FBI or the Maywood Police,” Brown ranted. “I thought my f–king mama was on vacation in Sinaloa. That’s f–king fake news, get the f–k out my goddamn of my face.”
So far, no arrests have been made in connection with Myrtle Brown’s killing, and police in Illinois have remained silent on the progress of the investigation.
Brown played college football for Notre Dame before his time with the NFL. He played defensive back from 2010 through 2016 with the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills.
