Sherri Shepherd is calling out a local Fox affiliate in Austin, Texas, for having a hidden camera in their green room backstage.

Shepherd went after Fox 7 News on Tuesday’s (June 6) episode of her talk show Sherri, where she shared a clip from her June 2 appearance on the network that she says was filmed from a hidden camera.

“There was a hidden camera in the room, so it came as a complete shock to me when I was on air,” she told her viewers.

The clip showed Shepherd in the green room with her team while a Fox 7 anchor teased her upcoming segment to viewers.

“We got Sherri Shepherd getting ready to talk to us in a little bit about the Sherri Shepherd show and all her success,” the anchor said in a voiceover.

Shepherd, who didn’t know she was being recorded at first, could be seen using her phone until someone on her team notified her that she was on air. She then began hopping in a circle and waving her hands.

“Rodney [Jon] said, ‘Sherri you’re on TV,'” Shepherd said, referring to her makeup artist. “I said, ‘Where?’ Because there was no camera man.”

She added, “Fox 7, you need to let people know there’s a camera in the room. This is one of those spy cameras. This is a camera for cheaters right here.”

“When I’m in the green room, I like to have fun with my glam team. And also, I wear my reading glasses, which I never wear anywhere. So I’m all auntie, I’m looking at my phone – can’t see nothing,” she said.

For the sake of “being transparent,” she then dove into a detailed explanation of the process she and her stylist, Willie Sinclair III, have to go through to get her into her clothes ahead of public appearances.

“We got this down to a science,” she said, later adding, “If there’s a camera in there, they don’t know that I’m popping stuff out… so the camera almost might have caught that if they had got me 30 seconds earlier.”

“Fox 7, now that you know everything about my body, thank you so much Fox 7, I love and appreciate you, but you know you did me wrong with that camera!” Shepherd joked.
