When it comes to basketball, Shaquille O’Neal has seen and done it all.
But as the Hall of Famer advances in age, he’s realizing there are a couple of off-the-court experiences he still wants to have.
O’Neal, 51, talked with PEOPLE about the outdoor adventures remaining on his bucket list.
First up: skydiving.
“A lot of times, I just sit and think like, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that.’ So I think the next big thing that I would love to do is skydive,” the 7-foot-1 O’Neal said. “My only fear is, can the parachute hold me? I went to one little class one time and the lady was like, ‘How much do you weigh?’ I was like, and at this time I was heavy, I was like, ‘400 lbs.’ She was like, ‘I think it goes up to 350. But my mom, she sews. She can sew two together.'”
Also on Shaq’s list: hiking Mount Kilimanjaro, with tops out more than 19,000 feet.
“I’ve thought about it, hiking up to that,” says O’Neal, who spends his days as an NBA analyst for TNT while moonlighting as a DJ. “But I’ll probably have to get into tip, tip, tip, tip, tip-top shape to do that.”
One thing Shaq ruled out: scuba diving.
He “didn’t like that,” O’Neal said, because it was “very, very, very, very deep.”
As for the aforementioned NBA resume, they don’t get much better than O’Neal’s body of work:
O’Neal played for six teams during his 19-year NBA career: the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics.
He was the No. 1 pick overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Magic and last suited up in 2011 with the Celtics.
