Shaquille O’Neal can cross off meeting Taylor Swift from his bucket list.
The NBA legend said he “finally met” the 14-time Grammy-winning singer at Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas, where her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs faced the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.
O’Neal, who told Page Six on Friday he was hoping to meet Swift during the Super Bowl festivities, posted a photo with Swift and Jamie Salter, the founder, Chairman and CEO of Authentic Brands Group, which acquired Reebok in March 2022.
The Basketball Hall of Famer was named Reebok’s president of basketball last October.
“Finally met @taylorswift me and @jamiejsalter gifted her a NFL Judith Lieber bag,” Shaq wrote, referring to the couture designer, whose brand is also under the Authentic Brands Group umbrella.
Shaq previously shared his plan to take a photo with Swift at his annual Super Bowl party, Shaq’s Fun House, at XS in the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas on Friday night.
“If I see Taylor Swift and get to shake her hand, take a picture, I’ll be good,” O’Neal told Page Six.
The former Los Angeles Lakers star went on to praise Swift.
“She’s a fabulous person,” O’Neal said. “I’m happy for her. I’m proud of her. She’s done a lot. She’s definitely a cultural icon. I just want to shake the hand of greatness.”
Earlier this week, the “Inside the NBA” host told TMZ Sports that he was hoping to be seated next to Swift in a suite at Super Bowl 2024.
It’s unclear if that happened, but O’Neal did get his photo with Swift.
All eyes were on Super Bowl 2024 to see if Swift would make it to Las Vegas after performing her fourth consecutive show in Tokyo the night prior.
The “Cruel Summer” singer Swift arrived in Las Vegas on Sunday hours before the big game via her private plane.
Swift arrived at Allegiant Stadium with some of her famous friends — including bestie Blake Lively and rapper Ice Spice — and was seen celebrating in a private suite when the Chiefs scored their first touchdown of the game for a 13-10 lead in the third quarter.
The star-studded suite also featured Donna Kelce, Eagles center Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie Kelce, and Swift’s best friend, Keleigh Teller and her husband, actor Miles Teller.
Kelce is chasing his third Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs.
