Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson have entered the chat.
Former All-Pro receiver Steve Smith Sr. was a hot topic online over the weekend as he was accused of having an affair with an unnamed woman who is a member of the Marching Ravens, the Baltimore Ravens’ music group.
Sharpe and Johnson weighed in on the situation Sunday on their “Nightcap” podcast.

“You never confront the individual because Steve Smith owes you no loyalty,” Johnson said, referring to social media user “Tony Martinez” who posted and then deleted the accusations on X. “You talk to your wife, you check your wife… Understand who you’re marrying. Human nature is undefeated.”
Sharpe agreed.
“I’ve known Smitty 20 years. He was just at my party at the Super Bowl, had a great conversation with him. I love the guy,” Sharpe said. “Hard nosed, the way he plays, X, Y and Z. But bro, you need to take that up with your wife. Smitty owes you no loyalty.
“He’s gonna have to deal with the situation at home, his own situation. I don’t know the gentleman’s name, but that’s a situation you gotta take up with your wife. She is the one that has an obligation to you.”
Smith, 45, who played for the Ravens from 2014-16 and is currently an NFL Network analyst, married his wife Angie during his senior year at Utah in 2000.
They have four children.
Martinez claimed his wife and Smith met at work.
“My wife works for the Marching Ravens @Ravens,” he wrote in a since-deleted post on X, per The Spun. “She met Steve Smith Sr at work. Steve Smith has been [bleeping] my wife. I got receipts, I got a lot more homie.”
The post also included screenshots of alleged texts between Smith and the woman.
Sharpe and Johnson also reacted to a video posted by Martinez which showed him confronting a man, believed to be Smith, over the phone.
The individual recording the video accused the man of having sex with his wife and asked, “What do you have to say for yourself?”
The man on phone said, “Sorry.”
Smith has not yet addressed the situation publicly.
