Shannen Doherty is trying to stay hopeful.
The “Charmed” alum, 52, is currently battling Stage 4 breast cancer that has since spread to her bones.
The actress got candid about her health in a new profile for People, which was published on Wednesday.
“I don’t want to die,” she blatantly declared.
“I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better,” she continued. “I’m just not — I’m not done.”
Doherty revealed in 2015 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and revealed to the outlet that she is continuing to receive treatment.
She has since underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation.
Despite her struggles, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum is still continuing to enjoy life, explaining that her “greatest memory is yet to come.”
“I pray. I wake up and go to bed thanking God, praying for the things that matter to me without asking for too much. It connects me to a higher power and spirituality. My faith is my mantra,” she said.
“I know it sounds cheesy and crazy, but you’re just more aware of everything, and you feel so blessed,” Doherty noted.
She added: “We’re the people who want to work the most, because we’re just so grateful for every second, every hour, every day we get to be here.”
Doherty then stated how people have misconceptions about cancer patients, describing how others assume that “you can’t walk, you can’t eat, you can’t work.”
She added: “They put you out to pasture at a very early age —‘You’re done, you’re retired,’ and we’re not.”
“We’re vibrant, and we have such a different outlook on life. We are people who want to work and embrace life and keep moving forward,” she said.
Doherty revealed in April 2017 that her cancer went into remission.
However, she was later diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2020. Earlier this year, the “Heathers” actress also revealed that she had a tumor removed from her brain — a growth she named “Bob.”
Doherty will continue to open up about her eight-year journey with cancer on her memoir-style podcast, “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty,” premiering Dec. 6 on iHeartRadio.
