The ladies of Selling the City are not afraid to drop names. The Netflix series, which comes from the creators of Selling Sunset, follows Eleonora Srugo and her team of real estate agents at Douglas Elliman as they navigate the New York City real estate market, high-stakes competition, and personal drama. Some of the ladies even have connections to A-list celebrities, like Jordyn Taylor Braff, who previously dated comedian Trevor Noah.

In Episode 2, titled “Trouble in Tribeca,” Braff opens up about her past relationship with Noah, telling her co-star Abigail Godfrey that “love” brought her to New York City.

“He and I met on Twitter, which is so random … I was here visiting and we met up. But I was so nervous. He’s a celebrity, but at the time, he was a nobody. No one knew who he was,” she says. “I was so nervous that for some reason I was lunging down the street. And he was like, ‘This girl’s weird.’”

According to Braff, she was the “funnier one in the relationship.”

“Trevor borrowed me for material all the time,” she adds in her confessional. “I think I was, like, the subject of jokes from time to time, but he would also steal my material 100%.”

The former couple first started dating in 2015, shortly after Noah moved to the United States to host The Daily Show, and they broke up in summer 2018, per Parade.

While their romantic relationship didn’t work out, Braff credits Noah with getting her into the luxury real estate market. “He ended up purchasing an apartment. It was my first ultra-luxury deal. It was a $10 million deal,” Braff reveals in Selling the City.

“It’s the only time you’ll ever hear that I slept with a client,” she jokingly adds. “But yeah, it catapulted me past the rental and the lower-end sales and got me right into luxury, which was awesome.”

Braff, however, isn’t the only Selling the City star with celebrity connections. Gisselle Meneses-Núñez reveals that she had a “situationship” with actor Michael B. Jordan seven years ago. “We’re still in touch and we’re still good friends and we have spoken about real estate,” she says.

Selling the City is currently streaming on Netflix.
