Everything is not what it seems.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s star-studded wedding ceremony and reception were surprisingly “simple,” according to Us Weekly.
The outlet claimed the nuptials were “not your typical ‘celebrity’ lavish” event.
“They both just wanted to dance and have fun, and you could feel so much love from them,” a source said, noting that there was not a formal sit-down dinner.
Instead, the venue was littered with cocktail tables, with guests enjoying Nobu catering and an “elaborate” ice cream bar.
The bride, 33, and groom, 37, did their first dance without shoes on — setting the stage for a night of “everyone dancing barefoot” to Mark Ronson’s DJ set and “having the best time.”

As for the wedding’s “very eclectic” decor, Blanco styled it himself with “a lot of velvet elements.”
The outlet’s insider claimed, “It was very much … similar to their Beverly Hills home. He is very into design and loved doing it.
“They had rugs and carpet everywhere because Benny does not like to wear shoes,” the source added.
As for the pair’s “heartfelt and sweet” vows, guests were left in tears over Blanco’s reported nod to Gomez’s 12-year-old sibling, Gracie.
The songwriter presented his new sister-in-law with a coupon book for “whatever she needs” from the couple, including “a day to hang out [and] a shopping spree.”
Gomez allegedly “bawled her eyes out” during Blanco’s vows — which were “much shorter” than hers — and was “sobbing and crying so hard” when they said “I do.”
The outlet claimed, “Everyone there was sobbing, and it was extremely emotional.”
The “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum has been in a relationship with Blanco since 2023, with her partner popping the question in December of the following year.
“Forever begins now,” the actress captioned her Instagram reveal at the time.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star’s BFF, Taylor Swift, hilariously commented on the engagement announcement, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”
The pop star, 35, attended Gomez and Blanco’s Santa Barbara, Calif., wedding and made a tear-jerking speech of her own about their sisterhood, according to the Daily Mail.
Swift, who got engaged to Travis Kelce last month, also cracked a joke about her pal “beating her to the altar.”
