Police have nabbed another suspect in the cold-blooded slaying of a Harlem man during an attempted robbery earlier this year.
Hassan Winston, 22, was arrested Monday and charged with murder and robbery in the March shooting death of Alonza Georgia, 24, according to police.
Police said Winston and his alleged accomplice, Zaire Allen, 19, — both from the Philadelphia area — allegedly pulled a gun on Georgia inside his apartment at NYCHA’s St. Nicholas Houses, on West 131st Street near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, around 9 p.m. on March 26.
Georgia was blasted in the torso, and the pair left him bleeding on the floor, cops said.
Two masked men were seen running from the apartment building shortly after the shooting, according to investigators.
Georgia was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he died the next day, police said.
Authorities haven’t said what it was the pair stole from Georgia.
Winston is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon for the crime, authorities said.
He was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court as of Tuesday afternoon.
His alleged accomplice, Allen, was picked up in Baltimore in April and charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
A judge ordered Allen held without bail at his arraignment.
