The Giants had to let Love go.
Safety Julian Love agreed to a two-year, $12 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, per multiple reports.
It ends his Big Blue tenure after four seasons.

Love, 24, led the Giants with 124 tackles and played 95 percent of the snaps in 2022, his first season as a starter.
The Giants had made re-signing Love a priority after inking a new deal for quarterback Daniel Jones and placing the franchise tag on running back Saquon Barkley.
“First and foremost, they told me they had to deal with the big dogs, Daniel [Jones] and Saquon [Barkley], and so I was kind of in the next list of players they need to get done,’’ Love said on SiriusXM NFL Radio last week.

The Giants made an offer to Love, a fourth-round pick in 2019, during the bye week last season, but he did not accept.
Love’s on-field partner, Xavier McKinney, is due a new contract next year and will likely command big money, seemingly limiting with what the Giants were able to offer Love now.
“Spending four years with the Giants, the staff is just amazing, from the equipment people, training staff, everybody throughout the building each day, it’s a top-tier organization for sure,” Love said in the SiriusXM NFL Radio spot on Mar. 11.

“My first-through-third year we weren’t good. Finally, we got on the right track and there’s a sense of wanting to finish the job with the team that drafted you.
“But at the same time you just can’t settle. Football careers are so short that you have to get what you feel is fair in the time you are in it.”
