Oprah Winfrey played an important role in Meghan Markle’s new business.

The Duchess of Sussex shared the game-changing advice she received from the legendary talk show host in Tuesday’s episode of her “Confessions of a Female Founder” podcast.

“There are tons of things you can put your name on,” Markle, 43, recalled Winfrey, 71, saying.

The media icon also told the “Suits” alum, “But for you and how you like to show up for people, once you figure out how to encapsulate your essence, then you’ll know.”

Markle noted that the words of wisdom from her “mentor and friend” came during a time when she felt “scared” to go big with her As Ever brand.

“At the beginning, I just liked making jam,” she told listeners. “All I liked to do was just make jam and preserves.”

However, after getting “joy” from sharing her creation “with lots of friends and family” who “really” liked it, the former actress considered sharing “more broadly.”

“Even then, I was in so much fear of failure or opinion that I wasn’t thinking big enough at first,” she remembered, explaining that she first decided to obtain a cottage license.

“[That] means if you cook something in your home, you can sell up to a certain amount at a farmer’s market or somewhere small. I applied for one and thought, ‘I’ll just do small batch jam from home.'”

Markle continued, “I had to step back and look at what I was doing and say, ‘Am I playing small because I want to play small or am I setting in motion playing small because I’m scared?'”

Ultimately, the royal chose to launch her lifestyle brand earlier this month in partnership with Netflix.

The streaming service debuted her “With Love, Meghan” show the previous month — and quickly renewed the series for a second season.

Markle simultaneously launched a podcast and created a ShopMy account to shill her beauty and fashion items.

On April 2, she defended being so busy in a New York Times interview after quitting her royal duties in 2020 with her husband, Prince Harry.

“I need to work, and I love to work,” she explained to the newspaper.

The couple left England and now live in Montecito, Calif., with son Prince Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3.

Markle and the Duke of Sussex, 40, famously gave Winfrey their first interview in 2021 discussing their controversial royal exit.

The “Color Purple” star has continued to show support for the pair and referred to the duchess as her “neighbor friend” last year.
