Sarah Silverman stunned viewers by planting a kiss on Joy Behar during Thursday’s episode of “The View.”
The impromptu moment came as the “PostMortem” comedian was finishing up her guest appearance on the show. “It’s always fun to see you,” Behar said wistfully to Silverman, who responded, “I love seeing you!”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg then asked, “Do you want to do the goodbye?” as Silverman, 54, leaned in for a quick smooch on Behar’s lips.
“Mmmmm,” the “Maestro” actress said as she rubbed her lips together, while the audience applauded the PDA.
“How’s her breath?” Ana Navarro quipped, referring to an earlier moment during the episode, in which Silverman noticed a bowl of mints on the table — and Behar explained she likes to have them around.
“I need fresh breath!” Behar, 82, said.
Silverman subsequently recalled a pal’s strategy for dealing with a bad breath situation.
“You know my friend Todd Glass has the best joke,” Silverman said. “When someone has bad breath, [you say] ‘I wonder what like a thousand Tic Tacs would taste like.'”

Co-host Sara Haines issued a savage callback to the joke after Silverman and Behar’s kiss, quipping, “I wonder what it’s like to have a thousand Tic Tacs right now.”
The “Saturday Night Live” Alum’s Netflix special “PostMortem,” which honors her late parents, debuted on May 20.
And although her entire career has been built around making people laugh, the comedian recently opened up about a tragic family loss — the death of her three month old brother (before she was born) while under the care of their paternal grandparents.
“The story was that something happened with the crib, and Jeffrey’s little body slid and he got suffocated,” she told Rolling Stone on Sunday.
“But if you look back, there was never a lawsuit with the crib company or anything,” she continued, recalling that her father, Donald, watched her movie “Bedwetter” — which contains a joke about the infant’s death — multiple times before sharing the alleged truth.
“My dad says, ‘I always felt that he was crying or something, and my dad shook him,’” the “School of Rock” actress claimed. “‘He shook him in a rage and killed him.’”
The comedian, however, has found comfort in her craft — which allows for spontaneous moments like her kiss with Behar.
“Yeah, comedy is the relief valve,” she told the outlet. “On one hand, there is a time and a place for it. But on the other hand, the worst and most inappropriate place for it is kind of the place for it, too.”
