Sarah McLachlan she’s striking out on her fall 2025 ‘Better Broken Tour’ in support of her forthcoming tenth studio album with the same name.
Early in the nine-concert run, the “Building A Mystery” singer will make a sole New York stop when she swoops into the Beacon Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
“Can’t hold this news in any longer… I’ll be hitting the road this fall to share ‘Better Broken’ LIVE,” the three-time Grammy winner shared via Instagram. “I can’t wait to play these songs for you.”
Prior to the brief ‘Better Broken’ run, the 57-year-old Halifax native will wrap the Canadian leg of her 2024-25 ‘Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour.’
“Her voice, in fine fettle throughout, has made a few slight concessions to age — a previously stratospheric vocal flourish now pitched down, say — but incredibly, she pulled out all the stops for late album highlight ‘Fear,’ which was astonishing to behold,” The Dallas Observer noted in a review of a June 2024 ‘Fumbling Towards Ecstasy’ show.
“The songs themselves were rendered faithfully throughout — sensual, searching and richly assembled — and part of that presentation was McLachlan’s still-peerless singing, lightly aged, but otherwise undimmed.”
“Better Broken,” which hits shelves Sept. 19, is the venerated vocalist’s first record since 2016’s “Wonderland” and was recently named one of the New York Times’ most-anticipated fall 2025 albums.
A press release describes the 11-track effort as “a soul-searching reflection on the fortitude that comes from weathering life’s constant storms – and furthers her legacy with a selection of songs that speak an uncompromising but radically illuminating truth about the state of the human condition.”

As mentioned above, McLachlan’s tenth studio album “Better Broken” drops Sept. 19.
Ahead of the record’s release, the vocally-gifted singer has gifted her fans with a trio of singles. They are the sumptuous title track “Better Broken” (that quickly assuages any worries that McLachlan doesn’t sound as powerful as she did at the height of her powers), the personal piano ballad “Gravity” and sweet, romantic duet “Reminds Me” with Katie Gavin.
To hear for yourself, you can find all three lilting tunes here.
On Sept. 21, Hulu and Disney+ will release the documentary charting the rise of the groundbreaking festival McLachlan founded back in 1997.
A moving trailer for the film can be seen below.
Although not every artist has the ability to belt and go intimate like McLachlan, here are five singers with similar sensibilities that we think you just might enjoy catching live these next few months.
