The View

Days after the results of the 2024 presidential election, The View is beginning to play the blame game. The ladies nearly engaged in a yelling match this morning as they clashed over what caused the Democrats’ crushing loss at the polls. While Sunny Hostin wondered, “What’s wrong with America?” her co-hosts Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin called out her messaging and pointed to it as an example of why they think Vice President Kamala Harris and other Dems lost their races this year.

Haines — who has earned a reputation as a ray of sunshine at the table — was uncharacteristically fiery as she passionately railed against Hostin’s claims during a debate about whether or not Democrats paid enough attention to the working class.

As Hostin rattled off a list of everything she sees wrong with Donald Trump, including his felony convictions, impeachments, insurrection participation and accusations of sexual misconduct, she wondered why America would choose his vision over “a message of inclusiveness.”

Meanwhile, Joy Behar insisted that Democrats are the party “that cares for the blue collar voter,” while “the Republican party doesn’t give a rat’s patooty about it.” After she blamed Harris’ election loss on her “messaging” not “getting through to people,” Griffin spoke up to reply, “The message of the Democrats sounded elitist. You don’t have value in society if you don’t have a college degree.”

Haines agreed, telling her co-host, “Joy, it’s condescending … the way that the left speaks to its voters.”

Hostin piped in to mockingly ask, “A message of joy and inclusiveness?” but was met with her own words when Haines replied, “No, the message of not being educated, being dumb and ‘what’s wrong with America?'”

Haines insisted that “we need to be introspective” in figuring out why so many Americans cast their ballots for Trump.

“They didn’t vote for him because he’s a racist or a misogynist,” Haines said. “They voted because they needed help in their everyday lives.”
