NextImg:Saquon Barkley’s Giants frustration spills onto social media

The Saquon Barkley-Giants standoff has made its way to social media.

Barkley removed the Giants from his social media bios this week after being unable to agree upon a multi-year contract extension by the July 17 deadline — leaving him with few options on a yet-to-be-signed $10.1 million franchise tag.

The discontent from the running back’s side is palpable, with his social media move the latest expression.

Barkley could now skip training camp — penalty free because he is not under contract — to send a message.

“My leverage is I could say, ‘F–k you’ to the Giants, I could say, ‘F–k you to my teammates,’” Barkley said on “The Money Matters Podcast” this week.

“‘You want me to show you my worth? You want me to show you how valuable I am to the team? I won’t show up. I won’t play a down. And that’s a play I could use.”

The Giants’ final offer to the 26-year-old was for $11 million per year with between $22-23 million guaranteed, sources told The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy.

Barkley and the Giants finished negotiations less than $2 million apart with guaranteed money a major issue.

Coming off a season where he had 295 carries for 1,312 yards — both career bests — and 10 touchdowns, to go with 338 receiving yards, Barkley earned his second Pro Bowl nod.

His social media message is a big warning shot to the franchise that drafted him with the No. 2 pick in 2018.

Barkley is latest high-profile athlete to make headlines by removing a team from his bio.

Jets tackle Quinnen Williams did so while negotiating what turned out to be a four-year, $96 million deal.

Whether the Giants take notice of their absence in Barkley’s social media remains to be seen — just like his presence on the field this season.
