Sam Asghari slammed TMZ’s “disgusting” documentary special about his wife, Britney Spears, ahead of its release Monday evening.
“I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs,” Asghari began Sunday night.
“It was absolutely disgusting.”
The personal trainer-turned-actor then recalled the “Toxic” singer’s treatment under her former conservatorship during which she had no control over her life.
“How are you going to take the most influential person of her generation, the princess of pop America’s sweetheart, and put her in prison?” Asghari asked his viewers.
“Where her father [Jamie Spears] tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see and use her as a money-making machine.”
Asghari, 29, took aim at the outlet for putting Spears, 41, “under the microscope” when she’s finally free from her family and management’s control and encouraged readers not to fall for “clickbait” stories.
“All of a sudden after 15 years when she’s free after all those gaslighting, all those things that went down — now you’re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story?” Asghari asked, rhetorically.

“No, no, that’s also disgusting, so don’t do that, and don’t believe what you read online. Ninety-nine percent of the time those are all clickbait for you to click and for them to make money and that time is over.”
Asghari concluded his video, which since has been deleted, by saying all of the “gaslighting and s–t” has to stop.
The “Hacks” alum’s Instagram Story came hours before TMZ released a story claiming Asghari and Spears’ marriage, which began in June 2022, is already in “deep trouble.”
The outlet further alleged Spears has gotten physical with her husband during screaming matches and that he no longer spends much time at their house.
A previously released clip from the special claimed the “Sometimes” singer was hooked on caffeine and would stay awake for days at a time, but she later responded with an Instagram post shooting down the report.
“My mind gets busy and sometimes that can be an easy target to mess with ????,” she captioned her post.
“Anyways, I’m sticking to watermelon juice, which is the weirdest thing ever but I was told for years I can’t have coffee and now that I can it’s my pride … I can’t even look at it !!!”
After the “Gimme More” singer said that green tea is her “prized possession,” she noted that she never stays up late with Red Bull, adding that “it is absolutely the worst drink ever.”
