She’s a modern-day Madonna.
Sabrina Carpenter, 25, looked like a dead ringer for the iconic musician, 66, on the March cover of Vogue, sporting a cone bra minidress — a silhouette the “Material Girl” singer famously wore during her heyday in the ’80s and ’90s — with platinum blond curls.
Lensed by esteemed fashion photographer Steven Meisel, Carpenter struck a pose in the custom baby blue lingerie-inspired number from Dolce & Gabanna, showing slivers of skin through the sultry lace-up details.
The publication shared the racy cover image on its Instagram page this morning, and followers quickly compared the two musicians in the comment section.
“madonna what r u doing here?” one person joked. A second had a similar thought, writing, “For sec I thought it was Madonna”
“Looks like 1990s Madonna,” another follower shared.
In other images for her Vogue photoshoot, Carpenter stunned in a butter yellow strapless Prada gown and Graff diamond jewelry, as well as a rich red lace Gucci dress and feather-covered heels.
Carpenter is known for channeling the feminists before her with vintage designs previously seen on “The Nanny” and even paid homage to Goldie Hawn with her Grammys 2025 performance earlier this month. And, at the 2024 VMAs in September, she hit the red carpet in a familiar archival Bob Mackie gown.

As it happens, Madonna first wore the white sequin dress to the Oscars in 1991, bringing along Michael Jackson as her date before performing “Sooner or Later” on stage.
In Carpenter’s interview, she reflected on her latest album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which earned the musician six Grammys nominations and two wins — including best pop solo performance for “Espresso” and best pop vocal album for “Short n’ Sweet.”
“Short n’ Sweet is absolutely me,” the former Disney Channel star said to the outlet.
“There’s no, like, alter ego. But it’s definitely a more emphasized version of me.”
Carpenter continued, “It’s interesting because I’m able to dress in this way where you would kind of expect to hear like a voice from the ’60s. But then, when I’m speaking to the audience, I’m just myself.”
Vogue’s March 2025 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on February 25.
