Sabrina Carpenter continues to eat everyone’s lunch. Today, in Vogue Italia — mangia!

The “Short n’ Sweet” singer is living La Dolce Vita from the top of her teased hair to the tips of her high heels in the glossy magazine’s October issue.

Looking demure on the cover in a short-sleeved Prada sweater with pendants, Carpenter’s dramatic double cat-eye and voluminous ’60s blowout recall the era’s bombshell beauties, like Brigitte Bardot.

Inside the magazine, Carpenter wears an encyclopedia of Italian designers, from Dolce & Gabbana to Gucci to Prada. But it’s the silk and lace-trimmed loungewear and lingerie designs that stand out amongst the chunky, textured knits and fuzzy fur jackets.

Inside the magazine, the 26-year-old former Disney star strikes several poses for famed photographer Steve Meisel.

Shot in austere black and white, the boudoir-style ensembles reveal just how much Carpenter’s public persona has evolved since setting aside acting to focus on her music career.

This pivot is paying off for everyone.

Earlier this month, Carpenter cleaned up at the MTV VMAs, taking home three awards, including album of the year, and winning spots on the top of several “Best Dressed” lists for her lacey red Valentino gown and feathery purple boa.

Working with stylist Jared Ellner, she turned heads again in a vintage Bob Mackie dress, originally worn by Cher, at the VMAs afterparty.

Given her on-point cinematic music video references and keen sense of style, we’re not surprised that she embraced this vintage-glam-meets-Gen-Z art direction. “The shoot, inspired by German girls in the ’60s, was moody and black-and-white, part Brigitte Bardot, part Berlin nightclub,” explains Vogue Italia.

With the legendary Pat McGrath and Guido Palau serving as Carpenter’s glam team, these photos capture a moment in time during this pop star’s rapid ascent. “There’s this black-and-white glamour, elegant and melancholic. And with that touch of Brigitte Bardot, everything is even sexier. I’m thrilled,” she told the magazine.

We’ll raise an “Espresso” martini to that.
