The man who never stops working may have just found another gig.

Ryan Seacrest is reportedly being considered to replace Pat Sajak as host on Wheel of Fortune after he retires.

Bloomberg reports Sony, which owns both Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, is currently fielding interest from multiple host candidates, including Seacrest. It is unclear who else is being considered for the opportunity.

TMZ reports these talks with Seacrest are in the “very early stages.” Since stepping away earlier this year from Live With Kelly and Ryan, it seems the television personality has some extra time in his schedule for another hosting gig.

Sajak announced Monday (June 12) that he will be stepping down from hosting the hit game show after this upcoming season. He has been hosting the show since 1981 after he was hired by the show’s creator Merv Griffin, who was coincidentally a close friend to Seacrest, per TMZ.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak announced in a tweet on Monday (June 12). “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”

In a separate statement shared with Bloomberg, Sajak added, “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”

According to Sony, Sajak will be staying on Wheel of Fortune as a consultant for three years after he retires. Let’s hope Wheel of Fortune has a better transition than Jeopardy did following Alex Trebek’s death.

And if Seacrest isn’t interested, apparently Whoopi Goldberg is!

The View host declared on yesterday’s show, “I want that job. I think it would be lots of fun.”
