Historic Times Square in New York City will host its first boxing event as Ryan Garcia (24-1) returns to the ring to battle Rolando “Rolly” Romero (16-2) live on DAZN.
Tonight’s bout is Garcia’s first fight since his April 2024 matchup against Devin Haney. The man known as “King Ryan” won the bout, but the decision was changed to a “no contest” due to Garcia testing positive for a banned substance, resulting in a one-year suspension.
Clearly, there’s no love lost between Garcia and Haney. The fighter known as “The Dream” will also be at tonight’s outdoor event as he takes on Jose Ramirez, and Teofimo Lopez vs Arnold Barboza Jr. rounds out the three-fight card. A Garcia and Haney rematch is a strong possibility if both boxers win their respective fights.
