The fallout from Ryan Garcia’s knockout loss to Gervonta Davis is spilling out of the ring and onto social media.
Shortly after Saturday’s highly anticipated matchup in Las Vegas, the 24-year-old Garcia took to his Instagram Stories, where he alleged “a mole” infiltrated his camp in a since-deleted post.
“Actually sad I had a mole in my camp,” Garcia wrote alongside a rat emoji. “Like wtf that’s crazy but thank God it’s brought to light now.”

Although Garcia didn’t elaborate further, he clarified in a follow-up post that the message was not meant “to come off as an excuse” in the wake of his defeat.
“Also didn’t mean that to come off as an excuse or anything. I lost period,” Garcia said.

“I’ll come back but I’m just shocked that part of my team crossed me someone close to me. Unbelievable. But it’s a testimony that you must be aware of anyone.”
Both Garcia and Davis entered the ring Saturday with undefeated records of 23-0 and 28-0, respectively.
Davis improved to 29-0 after his knockout blow to Garcia — a gut shot that forced him to take a knee — in the seventh round.

“I didn’t think that body shot would end it, but I saw his facial expression and that’s what made me take it to him,” Davis said afterward.
“It was a good shot, for sure. I thought he was going to get up, but I like to play mind games, so when he was looking at me, I was looking at him trying to tell him, ‘Get up!’ He just shook his head, ‘No.’”

Garcia said afterward how his opponent caught him “with a good shot,” and that he “just couldn’t recover.”
“He caught me with a good body shot, snuck under me and caught me good,” Garcia said.
