The Russian government is forcing two young kids to testify against their own mom after she was accused of “discrediting” the Army, according to a report.

Lidia Prudovskaya, along with her 9-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son, was summoned by investigators Friday in the northern region of Arkhangelsk to testify in the case, according to the Russian news outlet Sota.

Discrediting the Russian army is a criminal offense under a new law created after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

Prudovskaya was accused of sharing anti-war posts on the Russian social media platform VKontakte in September.

She would not be the first parent to face heavy penalties under the law that has regularly been used against Moscow’s critics.

In April, Russia authorities petitioned to restrict the parental rights of a single father after his daughter drew an anti-war sketch at school.

Russian authorities sentenced Alexei Moskalyov, 54, to two years in prison and sent his 13-year-old daughter to an orphanage in April after he made social media comments criticizing the war.

The girl was eventually moved out of the orphanage and was allowed to live with her mother.
