NextImg:Russell Wilson next team odds: A star-studded quarterback-coach duo expected to form

Russell Wilson’s days in Denver look numbered, as favorites emerge to have the nine-time Pro Bowler behind center next season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, who are scouring the market for a new face at quarterback at the start of the 2024 season, are the most likely team for Wilson’s services come fall, according to DraftKings.

The Steelers are -250 to be the next team Wilson takes a snap for, well ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders (+550) and Atlanta Falcons (+650), who are also top potential suitors.

The Broncos (+750) have the next-best odds but are seen as long shots to retain Wilson after his stunning benching by head coach Sean Payton down the stretch due to contractual issues.

The two sides could opt to restructure Wilson’s contract to stay with the Broncos, although it appears Payton would prefer to move on from the 35-year-old quarterback and start a new era in Denver, especially given Wilson’s cryptic messaging on social media in the days following.

The New England Patriots (+850) and the Minnesota Vikings (+1000) are also expected to be in the mix for Wilson.

A reunion with the Seattle Seahawks (60/1) has to be considered off the table after the team moved on from head coach Pete Carroll and decided to bring back quarterback Geno Smith.

Wilson isn’t the same quarterback as his Super Bowl-winning Seattle days, but it’s hard to argue he wouldn’t be an upgrade for at least a dozen teams next season.

In his 12th NFL season and second in Denver, Wilson threw for 3,070 yards with 26 touchdowns and just eight interceptions in 15 games.

Wilson is one of several solid-to-good quarterbacks likely to be on the move this offseason.

After unfollowing the Bears on social media, quarterback Justin Fields’ next team odds have seen the Falcons as -130 favorites to land the Ohio State product, ahead of the Steelers at +350.
