The dynamic duo of Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass is pretty much synonymous with the holiday season. Their work defined an era of classic Christmas films through the art of animation, claymation, and stop-motion. The two founded Rankin/Bass Animated Entertainment in 1960, which was formerly known as Videocraft International, per Entertainment Weekly.
While the company has since shut down, its films have remained cultural Christmas cornerstones, serving as holiday movie marathon staples. Their films have brought Rudolph, the Miser brothers, Frosty, and more characters to life, keeping the Christmas spirit alive in viewers young and old.
As the countdown to Christmas continues, keep these classics in mind, and keep reading to find out how to rent, purchase, and/or stream every Rankin/Bass Christmas film.
