Rory McIlroy’s camp offered comment on his <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/05/14/sports/rory-mcilroy-files-for-divorce-from-wife-erica/">stunning divorce filing</a> from his wife Erica Stoll.

His communication team <a href="https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/rory-mcilroy-files-for-divorce-from-wife-erica-stoll/a1292887215.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">confirmed Tuesday to the Irish Independent</a> that he had filed for divorce from his wife of seven years.

His statement “stressed Rory’s desire to ensure this difficult time is as respectful and amicable as possible. He will not be making any further comment.”

McIlroy has a 3-year-old daughter Poppy with Stoll.
