Robert Griffin III hasn’t lost hope that an NFL team will come calling for his services.
The former NFL quarterback trains every day while juggling his on-air duties as an analyst for ESPN, according to his wife, Grete Griffin — who shared a video on Tuesday that showed Griffin running on the side of the road.
“Nominated for a Sports Emmy today for his work on TV yet STILL this man trains every single day just in case a team comes calling,” Grete wrote.

“So proud of you baby and never met anyone that works harder for their dreams than you @RGIII.”
Griffin replied to his wife’s message in a quote-tweet, writing: “If she don’t rock with you like this, she ain’t the one.”

The video showed Griffin running outdoors while Grete was presumably behind the camera inside a moving vehicle.
The former Heisman Trophy winner — who last played for the Ravens before he was waived by the team in January 2021 — appeared in shape as he was seen sprinting in front of the car.
Griffin also replied to some people on Twitter about a potential NFL return — including popular Internet personality Cameron “Scooter” Magruder, who’s a diehard Cowboys fan.

“If Dak [Prescott] gets injured you coming to Dallas or nah?” Magruder asked.
“That’s up to [owner] Jerry [Jones] not me,” Griffin replied with a crying-laughing emoji.
Griffin — the second-overall pick by Washington in 2012 — played eight NFL seasons with Washington (2012-15), Cleveland (2016) and Baltimore (2018-20).

The Baylor product was waived by the Ravens in 2021, following three seasons with the organization and a slew of injuries.
In 56 career games, Griffin threw for 9,271 yards and 43 touchdowns while rushing for 1,809 yards and 10 scores.
Griffin received his first Sports Emmy nomination on Tuesday for Outstanding Personality Emerging On-Air Talent, alongside Andraya Carter (ESPN/ABC/SEC Network), Greg Olsen (Fox), Eli Manning (ESPN), and J.J. Redick (ESPN/ABC).
“Yeaaaaa babyy!!!!!!!” Grete wrote on Twitter, adding on TikTok, “So proud of you my love.”
Griffin joined ESPN in August 2021 and is a college football and NFL analyst across a number of shows.
He joined “Monday Night Countdown” during the 2022 season, and had a presence at the Super Bowl, College Football Playoff, Pro Bowl, NFL Draft and Heisman Trophy ceremony.
The 33-year-old Pro Bowl quarterback was named “ESPN’s Next Big Star” by Sports Illustrated in 2022.

“This is unbelievable,” Griffin said in a TikTok video reacting to his nomination. “… I appreciate you guys rocking with my style.”
