Baby Gronk’s namesake finally chiming in.

Former All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski spoke out on “Baby Gronk” and his father’s lust for fame and how the antics have gone “too far.”

“Yeah, it’s to a point where it’s awkward. It’s too far,” Gronkowski told Barstool Sports at Tight End University. “Four weeks ago, my brother told me, ‘Yo, have you seen Baby Gronk?’ ‘Did I see him? ‘ I go. ‘His dad hit me up 500 times already.’ He goes, ‘Don’t do anything.’ The dad is so annoying. And this was like five, six weeks ago. And then all of a sudden, two weeks later, it’s coming out everywhere. My brother died laughing.”

Baby Gronk — whose real name is Madden San Miguel — is a 10-year-old social media sensation with more than 320 thousand followers who is claimed to be the next great football prospect.

His father, Jake San Miguel, is an incessant digital marketer who manages his son’s social media accounts as well as his persona.

The older San Miguel has put his son in the spotlight for some time now — Baby Gronk has been seen with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Mark Wahlburg, and LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne, but Gronkowski believes that the father’s antics need to come to an end.

“We’re gonna cease and desist Baby Gronk’s dad,” the tight-end added.

Gronkowski isn’t the only former NFL player to speak out on Baby Gronk.

Two-time Super Bowl champ Chris Long, who grew up with immense pressure from his Pro Football Hall of Fame father Howard Long, spoke on the impact this type of exploitation may have on Baby Gronk in the future.

“I have no problem with profiting off the internet, this is what we’re all doing,” Long said on his podcast Green Light. “But the difference is we’re not using a 10-year-old kid to do it. You gotta be concerned about the toll this is gonna take on Baby Gronk when he’s older.”

Baby Gronk may not have supporters in the NFL, but his dad certainly may never leave his side.
