Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s hit animated series has returned on Adult Swim, but this time without Roiland, who originally voiced the two titular characters, due to his ongoing allegations of domestic violence, sexual harassment, and inappropriate behavior in the workplace.
But don’t fear – the show is back and funnier than ever. The first episode of the season “How Poopy Got His Poop Back” focuses on fan-favorite icon Mr. Poopybutthole, who has fallen from grace since his first appearance in Season 2.
With the episode containing our favorite zany guy, a hilarious guest appearance, and a violent showdown, how can we not be head over heels for the new season? And thankfully so, given that the previous season, while phenomenal, had record-low viewership numbers.

Rick and Morty Season 7 contains a total of 10 episodes. The episode, “How Poopy Got His Poop Back” premiered October 15, 2023 on Adult Swim. Following its release, new episodes will drop on Sunday weekly until its season finale on December 17, 2023.

So, the best way to catch new episodes of Rick and Morty is to watch the show live on Adult Swim. The easiest way to watch live is either through cable or a live TV subscription. Cable subscribers can watch by using their cable username and password in the Adult Swim app, which is available on iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV. And if you’re using a live TV bundle, you can watch on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirectTV Stream, and Sling TV — which all come with Cartoon Network.
If none of those options apply to you, then you’ll have to hope that the new episodes stream for free on the Adult Swim website.
