Just when you thought Lisa Barlow hanging out with Demi Engemann was the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives crossover you so desperately needed, wait until you watch Barlow — the queen of Diet Coke and fast food — try Engemann and her fellow co-stars’ “very specific” soda orders.

One of the most surprising rules of Mormon culture is that those practicing the religion are not allowed to drink coffee or tea. So, instead of going to coffee shops, they frequent soda shops, which is shown in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 1, Episode 5 when Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura and Layla Taylor visit Swig, a popular soda shop in Utah.

Barlow, for her part, converted to Mormonism in her youth. Since bursting onto the Bravo scene in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Barlow has made her love of fast food, Kit Kats and Diet Coke part of her beloved personality. So, when she stopped by DECIDER’s studio amid the hype of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and just before the Season 5 premiere of RHOSLC, we simply had to find a way to connect the two.

While New York City didn’t have a Swig, there was a Cool Sips — where we were able to pick up close dupes of Engemann, Ngatikaura and Taylor’s soda orders from the show. We then asked Barlow to taste each soft beverage and rate it on a scale of one to 10. Of course, we concluded our experiment by presenting the Vida Tequila founder with her staple: a Diet Coke.
