Talk about an unlikely pair. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah and disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes have reportedly become close friends while completing their prison sentences at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

Shah’s representative, Chris Giovanni, revealed to People, “They’re friends. They’re both rehabilitating and have bonded over being on this journey of positive change.”

According to Giovanni’s account, the women have started to lean on each other as they complete their prison terms, with Shah offering Holmes advice and even getting to meet her baby.

“Their situations brought them together, and they have a good understanding of one another. They’re getting through it together,” Giovanni said.

Holmes is even “a regular” at Shah’s fitness class, called “Sha-mazing Abs,” which she teaches at the prison. “Jen gets all the ladies together and they rally behind her while she teaches them fitness moves, and Elizabeth has been there right along with them,” Giovanni adds.

Shah’s representative praised his client, saying she’s “changed a lot behind bars” but still looks “phenomenal” and “reunion-ready.”

“Jen’s not anything like the show portrayed her to be. She’s so peaceful now,” Giovanni says. “She’s still funny and has her one-liners, but she’s graduated from anger management classes and is much more grounded.”

Shah began her six-and-a-half-year prison sentence in February after pleading guilty for her involvement in a fraudulent telemarketing scheme. She and her assistant, Stuart Smith, were convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a telemarketing scheme and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Her sentence has already been reduced twice since she reported to prison earlier this year. She is now set to be released on July 1, 2028, instead of mid-2029.

Holmes, on the other hand, was sentenced to a little over 11 years in prison for fraud for making exaggerated claims to investors regarding her company’s blood testing technology. Her prison sentence has since been shortened by two years.

According to People, the Federal Prison Camp requires Holmes and Shah to adhere to a daily 6 a.m. wake-up call and “maintain a regular job assignment where inmates are paid between $0.23 and $1.15 for their work.”

Holmes’ story has already been adapted for the screen in Hulu’s The Dropout, starring Amanda Seyfried as the tech mogul.
