The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 is just around the corner — and we are unpacking all of the juicy revelations from the hit Bravo show’s new trailer, including one about Mia Thornton and her husband.
While Ashley Darby promises to “keep Potomac weird” and “embrace” the different things going on in their lives in the ’90s sitcom-style opening, she’s soon thrown right into the drama as her relationship with her estranged husband Michael Darby is called into question.
When Thornton asks if she married the restaurateur and realtor for his money, Darby immediately fires back asking if Thornton married her husband, who is 32 years her senior, for his wealth.
“I might have,” Thornton admits, before revealing in a separate scene that she once “retained a divorce attorney.”
Darby soon finds herself embroiled in another heated confrontation with Candiace-Dillard Bassett, who’s getting sued for $2 million by Michael for making accusations about his sex life on a previous episode of RHOP.
“The motherfucker who is suing me is still married to the woman sitting in there,” Bassett fires off in the trailer.
She later tells Darby to “kiss my fucking ass,” to which Darby snarkily replies, “Walk away so I can see it.”

Robyn Dixon is also the center of drama after it was revealed that her husband, Juan, was messaging other women ahead of their wedding. During the scene teased in the trailer, Gizelle Bryant doesn’t hold back when it comes time to call out Dixon.
“Juan was in the nail salon, Juan was in the laundry mat, Juan was at the hotel,” Bryant says. “That’s a fuck Juan moment.”
Meanwhile, Karen Huger may have a newbie coming for her title. As Bryant literally crowns Nneka Ihim as the new “Grand Dame” of Potomac, Huger cheekily mutters, “If only it were that simple.” Fortunately, it looks like Ihim is used to getting the royal treatment.
“My daddy’s a rich bitch and he made sure his daughter was a rich bitch, too,” she says, before thanking her husband for buying her a $2 million house.
Moreover, Dixon admits to “swallowing,” while Thornton blasts Huger as an “old dog” who needs to find “new tricks.” Plus, the ladies accuse Wendy Osefo‘s mother of doing voodoo on them, only to be met with a sudden food catastrophe that ends in flames.
If one thing’s for sure, this will certainly be a fiery season.
The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 premieres on Nov. 5 on Bravo.
