If you need a mid-flight pick-me-up, you might want to pass on the java.

A flight attendant has revealed the stomach-churning reasons that travelers should never drink airplane coffee.

Reacting to a question on Reddit asking about the “dirty little secrets” of cabin crew, the TikToker, who goes by Kevin online, dished that he thinks aircraft coffee is “disgusting.”

“The fact that the tanks rarely get cleaned that the water is in should be the least of your concern,” he said in a video with more than 164,000 views. “For me, it’s always been the way that flight attendants have to clean out coffee pots.”

Spoiler: they dump out the java into the toilet, and get a little too close for comfort to the bowl.

“I imagine that there’s some kind of backsplash of particles, bacteria, whatever that goes directly back into the coffee pot, which gets put right back into the coffee maker,” he continued.

Unless the aircraft as a Nespresso machine, he quipped, he would never order a cup of joe.

He also dished other plane secrets, saying ab aircraft’s backseat pockets are rarely sanitized and he’s “found so many disgusting things” in them: diapers, wrappers, used tissues and strands of hair.

He also admitted that when flight attendants are bored, they’ll Google search passengers.

“Somebody good looking, in business class, without a wedding ring on — you’re getting Googled,” he explained.

In the comments, aircraft coffee skeptics found solace in their choice of in-air ginger ale, and some even recommended avoiding ice in your drinks if you can help it.

“Every single day my OCD is justified,” wrote one user.

“I don’t take any drink from the cart especially not with ice,” a self-proclaimed former flight attendant suggested. “Ice trays are at exact height of people’s mouths for coughing/sneezing.”

“I think of airplane coffee as a little boost for the immune system,” another quipped.
