Rebel Wilson was “dumped” by a woman “in the public eye” before meeting her fiancèe, Ramona Agruma.
The “dalliance” made the “Pitch Perfect” star “open to meeting” her current partner, she revealed on the “U Up?” podcast Wednesday.
While the actress did not name the individual “out of respect” for their privacy, she detailed their “very important” time together.
“I met a woman and had, like, feelings for her, which totally came as a blindside,” Wilson, 43, recalled. “It wasn’t what I was expecting.”
Wilson admitted she had a “hard” time telling the person they were “attracted to them.”
She explained, “I said the words, ‘I don’t want to offend you, but are you interested in women?’
“I’ve never had a conversation like that [before] because I was dating dudes and never had to talk about sexuality,” Wilson continued. “She was like, ‘I have feelings for you as well.'”
Although the connection “didn’t end up going anywhere really” and Wilson “got dumped,” she credited the experience with “opening [her] heart up for a same-sex relationship.”
Agruma, 37, was “the next woman [she] felt that way about.”
Wilson introduced the fashion designer to her Instagram followers — and simultaneously came out — in June 2022.
“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” the “Bridesmaids” star wrote via Instagram at the time.
In November of that same year, Page Six broke the news of the couple’s engagement.
While Wilson waited until February to confirm her “magical” Disneyland proposal, she did announce in November 2022 that she had welcomed a baby girl via surrogate.
Royce is the singer’s rainbow baby, as “the embryo miscarried” during her previous surrogacy attempt, she said on “The Pick Up with Britt, Laura, and Mitch” last month.
By the time Wilson and Agruma met, the “Wedge” alum already had another little one on the way.
Wilson clarified on Wednesday that she gave her then-girlfriend “an out,” with Agruma replying, “I love you, and I’m going to love your baby so much.”
