NextImg:Ready to trash a stretched-out T-shirt? This viral hack could save it: ‘Works every time’

Maybe your stretched-out T-shirt isn’t half-washed — perhaps it just needs a little boil.

The perfect shirt is hard to find, and once you nab the one that inevitably becomes your favorite, it becomes part of your regular wardrobe rotation.

Between all the re-wears and washes that your go-to tee endures, you might have a case of an overstretched neckline on your hands.

But there’s no need to toss the shirt — thanks to a hack that’s been making the online rounds.

A viral video with 6 million views posted by OV Market claims that all you need to do to fix the neckline is boil it.

Repairing your favorite T-shirt is as easy as tying a rubber band just below the neck of the garment, dipping that part in boiling water for 30 seconds, then letting it sit and dry flat.

And just like that, the neckline will be tighter than it was before — maybe even back to how it was when you first bought it, according to the hack.

People in the comments were shocked to hear that this trick “works every time.”

“Oh my god!! I’m going to try this on the weekend with my husband’s t-shirts. Thank youuuuu,” one excited commenter said.

“Bro do you know how many shirts I’ve mirked because of neck fail?? ???? Gotta try this,” another wrote.

“First step, find a rubber band,” someone quipped, joking that the hardest part of this hack would be finding the one necessary piece of equipment.
